The lowest point in North America is called Death Valley

You can't get much lower than Death Valley. Officially becoming a park in 1994, Death Valley, often referred to as Badwater Basin, has the lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level. It also has the eighth lowest elevation in the entire world.
