The deepest part of the Ocean is 7 miles deep

The deepest location in the ocean and on Earth, the Mariana Trench is almost 7 miles deep. It is so deep that if you placed Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on the planet, at the bottom of the trench, it would still be over 7000 feet under sea level. While researchers are trying to study the depths of the Mariana Trench, it is very difficult to reach the bottom, which is commonly referred to as the “Challenger Deep”. A highly specific submarine that is able to withstand vast pressures is needed to get anywhere near the bottom.
