One-third of the world’s airports are located in the United States

The United States of America is often seen as a world power and an international hub, and the amount of airports within its borders certainly help prove that fact. America contains over one-third of all airports in the world, which is incredible considering there are nearly 200 countries on Earth. In places like Europe, which is a much smaller amount of land than the U.S., Airports are kept to the larger cities, while America is so spread out that it requires airports all over the place.
