Unsurprisingly, Antarctica is the only continent in the world without any reptiles. This puts it in direct contrast with Australia, which has roughly a hundred billion different types of reptiles. Reptiles are exothermic animals, meaning they get their internal body heat from an external source. That source is usually the Sun, as well as lying on things that the sun heats. With Antarctica being freezing cold, reptiles would not be able to get any body heat, meaning they would die very quickly, probably frozen solid.
