In the NBA, a triple-double is a pretty rare feat. The term means that a player reached double digits in 3 statistical categories. These potential categories are points, rebounds, steals, blocks, and assists. What is even rarer than a triple-double is the elusive “double” triple-double, where a player reaches over 20 in 3 different statistical categories. You probably are not surprised to know that Wilt Chamberlain was the first to accomplish this as his name is all over the NBA record books. More recently, Russell Westbrook achieved the feat in 2019 going for 20 points, 20 rebounds, and 21 assists against the Los Angeles Lakers.
