Michael Jordan’s nickname is high school was Magic, after Magic Johnson

Growing up, Michael Jordan had a much different nickname than the now world-famous ‘Air Jordan’. He was known as Magic Jordan, named after Magic Johnson, who was arguably the best player in the NBA at the time and one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Michael quickly lost that nickname and gained a few of his own as his fame and notoriety grew. He became the best basketball player of all time and a 6-time NBA champion.
