The race for retail supremacy is on, but mother nature can still produce some of the world’s most impressive natural structures. There’s a tree in India that is larger than the average Walmart. Estimated to be the worlds widest tree, there is a Banyan tree that has roots which cover roughly 3.5 ac.² of land. The tree is located near to Kolkata, India and it is larger than the average Walmart by over 50,000 ft.². The tree has made it onto stamps in India and has survived several cyclones, the main trunk decaying and more. It continues to live on and grow today.
