Rainbows can only be seen in the morning or late afternoon

While you may beg to differ, rainbows can only be seen in the morning or in the late afternoon for most people. This is due to a rainbow essentially being a 40 degree ring from the position exactly the opposite to the Sun. If the Sun is above 40 degrees, that ring drops below the Horizon making us unable to see it. For many of us, especially if we are not too close to the equator, the sun is only about 40 degrees either in the morning or late at night.
