Twins are very often left-handed

If you are a twin, odds are much higher that you or your twin is left-handed. Twins are statistically nearly twice as likely to be left-handed as the average person, with 17 percent of twins being left-handed and only 11 percent of the population. If you are a male twin, your odds of being left-handed goes up again. Males are 50% more likely to be left-handed than females, so if you are a male twin, you are the most likely type of person to have a dominant left hand.
