One in four hazelnuts end up in Nutella

The making of Nutella is a big business, and perhaps nothing illustrates that fact more than the fact that 1 out of every 4 hazelnuts that are picked across the world go into a jar of Nutella. That means that 25 percent of all hazelnuts are found in Nutella jars. Nutella was based on an old family recipe that the inventor, Ferraro Rocher, found and modernized. It helped make him the richest man in all of Italy, with a net worth of over $26 billion at the time of his passing.
