For as long as humans have been around on the planet, honeybees have been making our food. Bees are the only insect in the world that make food that humans can eat. Honey is used in most cultures as a sweetener and is very delicious. It is also made with its own preservatives and bacteria are unable to grow in it, meaning it is basically immortal and able to be eaten after years of sitting and collecting dust. In fact, jars of honey were found in Egyptian tombs are were still edible.
