The Blockbuster in Oregon is the only store still in operation today

This is a blast from the not so distant past. It wasn't too long ago when there was a Blockbuster in every town and what seemed like around every corner. Today only one remains in operation in Bend, Oregon in the United States of America. Its hard to believe that in 2000, Netflix offered to sell their company to Blockbuster for just $50 million but were "laughed" out of the office by then CEO John Antioco. Twenty years later, Netflix is worth over $170 billion while Blockbuster is nothing but a footnote in our digital history.
