Paul Schrader is considered one of the iconic screenwriters of the late 20th century, with films like Raging Bull, The Last Temptation of Christ, and Bringing out the Dead under his writing credits and a history of working with famous directors under his belt. However, Schrader’s most famous work may be Taxi Driver, which he wrote for Martin Scorsese in an astounding 2 weeks! The script went on to be nominated for an academy award for best picture and even won the prestigious Palme d’Or award at the Cannes Film Festival.
