George Steinbrenner almost played himself in an episode of Seinfeld

George Steinbrenner the 3rd was an American businessman who was the owner and managing partner of Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees. He was also a recurring character on the massive hit sitcom “Seinfeld”. He was always played by Larry David, the director and writer of the show. However, at one point, the real George Steinbrenner almost made a cameo as himself. He was written into an episode, but the scene was cut at the last minute as it would not fit into the episode’s time constraints.
