Brendan Fraser nearly died filming The Mummy

Brendan Fraser was once one of the biggest action movie stars in Hollywood. While the Canadian-American’s fall from the spotlight is sad and a little bit scary, Fraser made massive bucks as the starring role in the “Mummy” films series. It came at a cost, however, as Fraser nearly died while filming the first movie. In one scene, Fraser is hung for a moment, and he was accidentally actually hung in real life. He nearly went unconscious and filming needed to be stopped until he recovered.
