US Companies reportedly hide over $1.5 trillion in profits offshore

60 years ago, large US corporations paid one-third of federal taxes. This year, they payed under one tenth. It is believed that these US companies hide over 1.5 trillion dollars in profits in secret bank accounts offshore. They do this to hide from income taxes and save billions of dollars, which in turn creates a lower federal reserve from tax returns and forces the US government to tax its regular citizens a higher amount to make up for it.
