Smoking can void your warranty with Apple

Apple has a lot of control over how and when it can void your Applecare warranty, and it has even decided to void some warranties because the Mac users were frequent smokers. The occurrences happened around 2009, with Apple claiming they could not repair the Mac as it had smoke residue in it, and they were concerned for the health of the technicians. This caused a massive backlash, as Apple did not expressly say in their warranty that smoke or other biohazards could void it.
