It is so large, in fact, that McDonald’s sells nearly 3 billion hamburgers each year. On average, McDonald’s sells 2.5 billion burgers per year. That means that roughly 1 out of every 3 people on Earth will eat a McDonald’s hamburger in a calendar year, although there are also many people out there who do more than their fair part in making that number a reality.
