Dasani water is just purified tap water

Despite what you might have heard, Dasani does not come from some magical spring of water. It is just purified tap water put in a bottle and marketed as spring water. Through a process called “reverse osmosis filtration”, Dasani purifies the tap water that they receive all across the world. This does remove many particles and potentially gross things from their water, but it hardly makes bottled water safer than tap water in many parts of the world. Bottled water is not actually higher quality than tap water in many places.
