Texas is the only state that permits residents to cast absentee ballots from space

If you find yourself in space and are a voting member of Texas, you can still legally vote through absentee voting. In 1977, the state of Texas passed a law allowing votes from space to be legally counted, using an absentee ballot system specifically created for astronauts. These astronauts, when filling in their address, simply put “low Earth orbit” instead of a house number or zip code. So next time you're in space, remember you can vote in Texas if you want to.
