Almost half of American couples meet online

No longer are bars and clubs the starting place of young relationships. Move over, it is the internet’s time to shine. It has now been found that nearly half of all relationships began online, with 40 percent of people saying that theirs began online in one form or another. This number has jumped greatly due to dating apps like Tinder, which makes it easy to scroll through potential dates. There are also the more traditional ways of starting an online relationship, such as meeting on social media such as Facebook and Instagram or signing up for an online dating website.
