The sum of opposite sides on a dice always equals 7

No matter what number a dice lands on when you roll it, you can bet the number plus the number directly across from it will equal 7. This has not always been the case, but with modern dice opposite sides always add up to 7. The number 7 holds a special place with dice, as it is also the most likely sum you will get when you roll a pair of dice. This is because there are 6 different combinations that will equal the number 7 - 1+6, 2+5, 3+4, 4+3, 5+2, and 6+1.
