Bob Heft designed the flag as part of a school project in his junior-year and only received an A- for his work. He submitted it to the government and President Dwight D. Eisenhower approved it. After having his design approved by the President of the United States to represent the entire country, his teacher changed his grade to an A. Seems like the right thing to do.
