Valued at roughly 4.6 trillion dollars today, Caesar owned a fifth of the wealth of the Ancient Roman Empire, which accounted for more than 30 percent of gross domestic product for the entire world at the time. Caesar also had countless palaces and other possessions that helped boost his net worth to roughly 10x that of Jeff Bezos.
