Pigs share a lot of similarities with humans. Surgeons use them for transplants when human parts are not available, they share a deeper intelligence than most farm animals, and now it turns out that pigs - just like us - can get burnt by the sun. It mostly occurs in young pigs, who have not had time to get used to the sun, although it can occur in adult pigs who are out and about for long periods of time with a hot sun. Farmers counteract this through making sure there are shady spots for the pig to rest out of the hot sun and there is a pig sunscreen available.
