40 million years ago, everything was bigger. A species of penguin, kumimanu biceae grew to be over 6 feet tall, towering over many modern-day humans. The largest fossil found stood at 6-foot 8-inches and terrorized the Antarctic planes. Today, the largest species of penguin is the Emperor Penguin. This species is found in Antarctica and grows to a max of 4 feet in height and 100 pounds in weight.
