Pandas spend about half their day eating

An average panda eats for around 12 out of every 24 hours. That means it spends half its day and therefore half its life just eating. Its therefore no coincidence that pandas need to "go to the bathroom" dozens of times a day. It takes about 28 pounds of bamboo to satisfy a large panda's daily appetite.
