A Bee Hummingbird weighs less than a penny

While birds are famous for their hollow bones and incredibly light weights, one bird stands out from the pack. The bee hummingbird, which is found in Cuba, is the lightest and smallest known living bird, with a weight that is less than a penny. A penny weighs 3-4 grams, while the bee hummingbird weighs on average 2.6 grams. The bee hummingbird is only 6.1 cm tall on average.
